The annual certificate awarding ceremony of the Oblate Institute of Higher Learning took place on 25^th November 2023 in Dev Arana, Minuwangoda. Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva, the auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Colombo graced the occasion and Rev. Fr. Dilan Perera OMI, the delegate of the Very Rev. Fr. Provincial also was present at the ceremony. Delivering the speech, Bishop Maxwell Silva stressed the fact that the Oblates have always been close to the poor and he appreciated the service rendered through the Oblate Institute of Higher Learning in providing opportunities to those at the margin of society to achieve excellence in education. Students who completed the diplomas in Psychological Counselling, Teacher Formation, and English for Entrepreneurs and English Immersion Courses conducted for the Post OL students and Post AL students were awarded certificates. The Oblates, Priests, and nuns in neighboring parishes, benefactors, well-wishers, and parents of the students participated in the ceremony.
