The Annual General Meeting of the Oblate Institute of Higher Learning 2026
The annual meeting of the Heads of the Oblate Institutes of Higher Learning was held at the Oblate General House in Rome from June 1st to June 5th, 2026. I confidently participated in the Association of Higher Learning Annual Meeting, representing our commitment to excellence in education.
This five-day meeting united members, educators, and leaders from across the Higher Learning network to share innovative ideas, review our achievements, and strategically plan for the future. We engaged in critical discussions centered on community development, educational initiatives, and strengthening collaborations among our member institutions.
Exchanging perspectives with colleagues was not just inspiring; it was essential for enhancing our ability to serve our communities more effectively. The meeting offered invaluable networking opportunities that will drive the success of our ongoing projects back home.
I extend my gratitude to the Association of Highland for organizing such a highly structured event and for their exceptional hospitality in Rome. The insights and connections formed during this meeting will significantly impact our work and directly benefit our students in the months ahead.
A key takeaway from our discussions was a powerful statement: “Oblate institutes of higher learning provide quality education that is accessible to the poor. In this way, they offer a crucial service to those in need.” This truth underscores our mission and commitment to making a difference.
